Once we have all of the information we require of your application for membership, we will assess the information provided to ensure that you satisfy all defined criteria. In addition, checks will be conducted on the business and its personnel to authenticate the information provided on application including;
- Financial background checks including company accounts
- Company and director background checks
- Public and Employers Liability Insurance
- Consumer complaint history
- Customer service protocols, standard term contracts, terms and conditions
- Validation of professional memberships or certifications
- Trading premises validation
As part of the assessment, we invite your local Trading Standards Service to approve your application. We hope to process all applications within 14 days but this can sometimes take a little longer depending on the outcomes of our vetting process.
If for whatever reason an applicant does not meet the required standard we will provide the support required so as to be able to award the Trading Standards Approved brand.
