Make a Complaint
Trading Standards are aware that all businesses, even those delivering the best customer service, may receive a complaint at some time whilst being in business. Most good business owners will want to do what they can to resolve the matter and to try to ensure that you are happy with the outcome. Many complaints can be resolved without any Trading Standards involvement, so in the first instance we would advise that you put your complaint in writing to the individual trader, allowing a reasonable time for a response. We would advise a proof of postage is obtained for any letters sent, and to keep copies of any letters you have sent. If the matter remains unresolved, please use the form below.
Please note – the Make a Complaint facility is only for complaints regarding members of the Trader Register.
If you have a general complaint to make to Trading Standards about a company that is not a Trader Register member, please contact Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline on 03454 040506 or you can visit the Citizens Advice website to make your complaint online.
